One mans simple desire to spend deep alone time in a forest so that he can release what no longer serves him, his family, his children, his community in a deeply, held and witnessed way. So he can more fully embody what it is to be a man, and a great partner and father, for these emerging times.

The Wolf Mother called this time and place the Ice Nations and I feel it was part of the Hyperborean lineage. She also spoke how they were also holders of remnants of the White Flame, Fire and Rose lineages which, at that time, no longer existed in their entirety. It felt like a struggle to maintain what they could.

I was winded and cracked several ribs both sides from the impact. And yet it felt like a stern, loving grandmother telling me to ‘ get back in yourself child’ ! It was no doubt a final part of an initiation I had been experiencing since the Spring Equinox

And so Gatekeeping is a natural phenomenon born out of respect and honour for purity and sacredness. We ask permission, without expectation that in the asking it will be given. This is the pause, the still point between - the potent creational moment. The knowing of both sacred and natural laws, how they interact and influence each other and therefore the consequences of over-riding this.

This is when aspects of us still locked in past events return. This can happen in countless ways - though often through an unexpected vivid memory surfacing; an external event, place or person triggering a pattern recognition and/or inner child connection.

In laying to rest what of the past no longer serves us we can start to clarify the wisdom that it contains. It will be hidden until we do … new beginnings always grow in the rich compost of the old. The ancient that held us and protects us until we are ready to make our own choices and discernment and we may carry through a few golden threads that are purified in this alchemical process, to be woven in a new way … as we prepare to embrace our renewal and rebirth and step into the unknown.

What had been coming up for all of us really strongly was our Voice - how much it had been suppressed and conditioned into silence, keeping the status quo, being nice … and for how long … way back into the ancestry of both our genetic and spiritual lineages.

Our vulnerabilities truly start to become our strengths. The journey then starts to become exciting. A year or two ago, I felt as if a veil had lifted and I could just open my mouth and let the words flow out. This was not only a revelation for me, but essential for my work in the world …

As I go through this process of recording healing stories and meditation journeys for the Sacred Earth Essences - I am embodying them at such a deep level I am becoming them.

Whatever the cause, as we leave parts of ourself in these memories we lose personal power. Each time a similar pattern is triggered these memory trails are lit up and our power to respond dissipates. Retrieving those parts is empowering. In my experience Shamanic soul retrieval is the most direct way, but not the only way.

And as I moved out to the veranda where the steps lead down back to the square … there was a roar - at first I though it was a plane, then perhaps thunder … but it was so loud and rumbled and sounded more like the roar of a huge animal. Others were also looking for the source, curious … when I realised - it was a Dragon roar of a long awaited Battle victory !

The land told me what was not written in history, that this valley was a refuge for hundreds of years - probably longer. And that these men were ones of honour, valour and integrity for they protected and integrated the wilder sisterhood still exiled in the hills, wove them back into the everyday - gave them a way out. Those who were persecuted, regardless of outward appearances, found that they shared a common God.

On the spiritual path, the path of Heart seeks to marry and balance these aspects within ourselves. And this leads us on a journey, whether following a star, a white stag, spiritual guidance, a compelling dream or deep knowing - though any final destination is unknown - we keep moving.
