Sycamore Heart
This heart on the Sycamore trunk, guardian of the gate, has been my view every morning while staying here on the Croft. A few years ago I thought I’d be replacing the croft name ‘Willow Branch’ with ‘Sycamore Heart’, even though Grandmother Willow sits at the heart of the croft - instead she became the land base for the School of Earth and still holds the original name of her heart.
Sycamore is a divine union tree, even though his expression leans more into his masculine. He doesn’t carry the same clear, steely warrior, guardian masculine energy like Pine, nor the strong, fluid feminine energy of triple goddess Willow. He holds balance and harmony as a space-holder.
Sycamore supported Nettle when we co-created her essence, bringing much warmth and stability - for she holds the secrets of right relationship. If you are careless she stings, though when firm in your intention she yields bringing harmony and balance - qualities she shares with him - to nourish the places of resistance allowing ease and flow.
Sycamore deepens this warmth containing and anchoring it. And within that space Nettle trusts his heart so sinks more deeply into herself, expanding her benevolent gifts of nourishment and nurturance that reveal the tenderness of her heart.
It is Sycamores unique balance with his feminine, combined with their common traits, that enables him to enable her opening up her more secretive, softer side - redistributing the balance of their individual masculine/feminine harmony to be encompassed within their relationship.
This is reciprocation - her trust in him means she can access the deeper creational power of her feminine. No need to sting or be resilient for she knows she can hand that over to him for a while and surrender, feeling safe and protected within the space he provides. While he receives the deep nourishment of her healing power.
Many of the plant and flower Sacred Earth Essences, that I co-create with the Elementals, have supporting tree partners. And within the gifts they bring there is an underlying synergistic, harmonious balance of their individual masculine/feminine energies. As I prepare to relaunch the Sacred Earth Essences this summer ( 2025) I am being shown the stories of the uniqueness of these relationships. Ones where there is no precedence, set path or guidebook … and I feel there is still much to learn from these inter-species dynamics.
It is these relationships between the plants, elements, the rocks, the Earth, her waters, the sky, curious creatures and the elemental beings who work with them - how they contribute, initiate, integrate and harmonise into a unique energetic coding that tells us the stories of our belonging to Mother Earth from the beginning of time. Our origins.
Each Sacred Earth Essence is a conduit of or portal into these relationships. addressing aspects of our consciousness that no longer serve us as we foundation the New Earth. They support you to release and alchemise these old strands creating room to embody the new forms of consciousness weaving their way to and through you as ambassadors, emissaries of the new yet ancient songs being spun into being.
These relationships are also what we excavate and deeply explore within the Apprenticeship to the Dreaming Earth.
As the veil thins between our realms, approach with a humble heart, witness and listen - for only they can tell us how to honour and respect them.
