Goldfinch: Lessons in Self-Love
The soundscape here is changing from one dominated by the Willow Warbler and Chaffinch to that of Goldfinch. As well as Blackbirds, Wrens, Greenfinches, the not so common Common Grasshopper Warbler - which solves the mystery of what I had thought was a well out of season grasshopper or cricket - Siskins, Red Polls, Blackcap, Collared Doves nesting in the sycamores, the occasional Crow, the persistent unmistakable Cuckoo and today the Sedge Warbler joined in. Quite a list and I know more will be joining it, I use the Merlin Bird ID app which not only identifies the birdsong but can be used to teach yourself to recognise the individuals within the chorus.
But it is the Goldfinch that has my attention though right now, as he’s always represented Joy to me and I love watching these tiny birds with their bright plumage. After Willow Warblers previous message, Songs of a Triple Goddess , I was curious in this shift of song and so journeyed into a deeper enquiry with Goldfinch.
“We sing to share our journey so you can see within it reflections of yours.
Expanding your heartspace sends out the frequency of your song and so we draw near to reflect that back to you. When you are present to our song you are still and your heart expands with ours, balancing and harmonising the resistance between polarities that still exist within you. And integrating all that you learn when your heart song combines with ours we co-create something new - a solution, a dissolution of the resistance to the new frequencies of consciousness that you are embodying …
see why we are called your ‘feathered friends’ !
… this is the joy of source ordained self-love.
As your heart song attracts our vocalisation of that frequency, know that this is how you attract what you need into your life. This is manifestation in motion, in purity, for we don’t hold the same blocks of societal conditioning and trauma that you do.
Everyday we show you how it’s done with Joy - and your Joy, is our Joy”
As I look up from writing this message the breeze moving through the trees reminds me to allow all to flow through me - and not to hold on. To allow the movement and bring awareness to what may be blocking it.
The continuous calls of the birds bring me back to the moment.
There is no past, no future - only Now.
I see an Owl silently hunting across the meadow in the low light of a cloudy day.
And I smile.
This is peace.
The words ‘you who have journeyed so far …’ come to me and I searched for the source only to find they were my words from a poem I wrote ‘ The Great Journey’. Curious how spirit quotes me back to myself!
Reflections are often much more than we can see or know. To try and analyse them with the mind isn’t always helpful, but when we soften and open our hearts we move worlds - that perhaps only the birds can see.
with much Love
from my Heart to yours
