New Beginnings ~ Crossing the Threshold
Earth Dreaming Meditation for March 2024 Equinox.
Dear Earth Dreamers,
As I am going through a major transition that is so very clear in the physical realms, like a mythology, it helps me to see clearly the patterns and dynamics of Crossing a Threshold. The closer my move date came, the less value my 'stuff' held and the more value being free of the weight of possession was. One thing that makes me giggle is that I had 3 turquoise fleeces and I couldn't decide which one to keep, now I find they've all gone ... so today I might just buy a new one.
There is such a paradoxical dance of the merging energies of the past and future - and we get to choose what we take with us and what to discard and this choice influences that future.
I am reminded of a favourite book of mine for many years 'Listen, Little Man!' by Wilhelm Reich. Personally I believe this essay was never meant for publication, it was a beautiful outburst of the frustration, from a man ahead of his time, who could see what others couldn't.
The phrase that stays with me is 'your history is like a burning diamond in your hand'
You should let it go ... Ah - but it's value ... So which would you choose ? To be burnt or to be free ?
This months meditation explores the threads that keep us connected to the past, as we walk through the liminal space of a major life threshold these are the choices that we are being called to make. What do you release fully? What do you alchemise ? It can be hard when the future is not yet in focus.
Often we have a fear of getting it wrong, of not aligning with our higher purpose, doing what is not in our highest and best good. Or we don't see any value in it when we compare ourselves to others, losing the courage to follow our true calling. What if I told you, you can't get it wrong? So here we call in our future self, our higher dream, drawing this into that liminal space to alchemise the doubt.
Spend some time with this meditation and enjoy the insights it brings.
