Interconnectedness of being
I had my eyes closed, as I frequently do, when I was recording this months meditation. Opening them briefly, I saw the tree in front of me dancing in alignment with my words - then almost as soon as he knew I was watching he stopped, suddenly shy! I peaked a few more times but he had become more subdued. I will go back and visit him soon - as for me, this was a delightful confirmation of what was coming through in the transmission.
Our communion with the natural world helps us to remember we are nature too, we are an intricate part of the web of creation and are being asked to recognise our place within that - with both humility and wonder. By understanding what true power is - our part in creation - and seek to restore the harmonious balance between our human and wilder brethren. Returning to a harmonious relationship and natural balance within that web and within ourselves is no mean feat and is one that asks us to be responsible custodians.
Awaken ancient embodied memories
This month’s meditation supports us to really feel that interconnection and reveal a sense of some of our other realm power. For our responsibility lies not only in the physical, seen world but beyond in the multidimensional, otherworld realms too. Having deeply felt experiences of our interconnectedness with other realms it can guide us to start to readdress the balance and awaken ancient embodied memories.
We are on the downhill run into the new
As I mention in the video - I feel we are on the downhill run into the new, and it’s been a longtime coming. Many of us are experiencing new situations and circumstances that are not fully integrated into our everyday yet - though we may still be in the fringes of the liminal spaces - paradoxically we are moving into unknown territory where we are the co-creators and collaborators of new systems and networks - we may become some of the first navigators and mapmakers of this new terrain.
Remembering allows us to open into the future
Not only are we learning patience in a really deep way, so we can really step deeply into the trust that the ground beneath our feet and our cosmic inheritance will be what truly sustains us. We know this. Remembering allows us to open up to the completely new paradigm of the emerging future, all the while releasing more and more structures of the past.
Symbolically,
Autumn is the time to prepare and resource. It is also the time of pruning … cutting back what no longer serves you. This supports the withdrawal of energy into a deepening and strengthening of roots, the foundation of your being - where you can access the wisdom through the deep earth community - growing down into becoming ancestor
Winter is the crucible that we pass through before we re-ignite the Fire of Inspiration for the new. Underneath the ice lies the mantle of Eldership, during our most challenging times we may find we tentatively touch this, and draw on the Wisdom that lies deep within the Earth.
While many of us are reaping our harvest and preparing our winter stores, physically or metaphorically, you may live where you are experiencing spring, rather than autumn. Even then there is still the need to resource and prepare the ground for receiving new seeds … what have you composted and alchemised that provides nourishment ? Rather than fuel for the initiating fire - what do your water resources look like ? How can/do you cope with drought or flood ? Either can interfere with growth and establishing a firmly rooted foundation for manifesting the new.
Ask yourself these powerful questions
After the meditation with a deeper experience of your interconnectedness and a deeper connection to another multidimensional aspect of yourself, maybe consider the following questions as part of your reflections:
Who are your hearth-keepers when things get frosty and withdrawn?
Who regulates the dam for you, so you get neither over-whelmed or wrung out ?
Who supports you to nurture and nourish yourself ?
Remember that the ‘who’ may be drawn on from any part of the interconnection mycelial web that we are all part of.
I have felt very inspired by this poem over the years and it feels particularly pertinent now.
"Lost"
Stand still.
The trees ahead and bushes beside you
Are not lost.
Wherever you are is called Here,
And you must treat it as a powerful stranger,
Must ask permission to know it and be known.
The forest breathes.
Listen.
It answers,
I have made this place around you.
If you leave it, you may come back again, saying Here.
No two trees are the same to Raven.
No two branches are the same to Wren.
If what a tree or a bush does is lost on you,
You are surely lost.
Stand still.
The forest knows
Where you are.
You must let it find you.
