In search of Rosslyn’s snowdrops

What an interesting time I had at Rosslyn Glen. I spoke about my experience in the Chapel in an earlier post, though there is so much more to share.

Life has been full and I feel I haven't paid as much attention to you chroniclers as I would have liked.

I started this post and then so much was happening I wasn't able to find the time to complete it or bring through a meditation. And, as my paid subscribers so early on in our journey together this has concerned me, as I so deeply appreciate your loyalty.

This had me reflecting though on how we can support ourselves and maintain ourselves spiritually during these times of fullness and many calls on our presence. Therefore, I am sharing here my personal meditation that I recorded for my students. This is the one I return to, to support me and keep me clear whatever is going on in my life. I hope you find it a valuable tool. It is on Youtube so once you have the link you will have access to it always.

What happened to the snowdrops?

I was really struck when in Rosslyn Glen how the tiny snowdrop bulbs had been washed out of the soil and many were lay strewn on the path. We have had a lot of rain and storms here in Scotland, much more than usual winters and we have found it relentless. Yet, I was gifted some of these tiny bulbs, and I wonder if some got washed up and carried down the river to find new homes?

Feeling uprooted?

There are times when we may feel uprooted, the river of our life swells and starts to carry us to an unknown destination - I know this is parallel to my current experience. How is it to allow ourselves to be uprooted and enter the torrents of that great river ? I was reminded recently not to spend too much time trying to grapple and find a new place to be rooted - this is the time to enjoy the ride. There may be places of rest along the way, but not to mistake them for the destination. Simple but not easy.

Breath as an ally

I was also gifted some Monkshood Lichen, for a Sacred Earth Essence being co-created, by a Yew tree. I so love it when something starts to unfold and I get to see what the story is more clearly. These are part of a combination that are for endings and deep breathing - our breath can be such an ally when we are letting go of something that no longer serves us and prepare to embrace something new.

As I was enjoying my favourite part of the River, my glasses fell in! I tried to retrieve them, but they simply drifted deeper. The elementals often deserve a gift for work they have done with you and I had received much from them that day. Though I was aware that I am also being asked to look at something more clearly ... look at the numbers on the street corner where I was staying - 20/20 vision !

With much Love
from my Heart to yours,
