From the Ashes

"Poetry is just the evidence of life. If your life is burning well, poetry is the ash."

~ Leonard Cohen

On the 29th May I had a massive bonfire clearing out all my paperwork to make space for the new ... Grandmother Willow also contributing some of her storm broken branches … and I poured prayers for the release of the old to make room for the new into that fire - making sacred ceremony out of the everyday.

Today I found a Datura beginning to flower out of the ashes ... I have never seen one here before in the North of Scotland!

From Foliage Friend : "In spiritual contexts, datura flowers are known to signify purity and hope. They can represent new beginnings and a fresh start, particularly in Eastern cultures where they are widely used in weddings. Datura flowers are also symbolic of inner desire, strength, and the perseverance that is required to achieve one’s goals and aspirations."

May you all be blessed with brand new beginnings, releasing all ties to the past that no longer serve you.

with much Love
from my Heart to yours
