Encounters: Following the Threads
Today is Mary Magdalenes feast day, considered by many to be the first Christian Mystic.
Throughout my European travels she and Mother Mary have been very present. I’ve shared some stories woven with her footprints already and there are more to come … today I will weave those threads another way.
Yesterday I found myself an honorary custodian of 11 Olive trees for 3 days, and they invited me to co-create a Sacred Earth Essence with them, Mary Magdalene and the nearby waterfall.
At dawn I was following a shamanic mediation, greeting the East and then the West 22 times, a transmission from Eliza White.
The sun peeped over the mountain as I faced East for the 22nd time … I took these photo’s after the 22nd West. In the tradition I know, East represents our spiritual being and West our physical - an inner marriage occurs when we embody our spiritual aspects into our everyday. Simply this is finding a love for ourselves within that needs no external validation.
And as I sat facing the sun with my eyes partially closed I saw a beautiful Emerald cross.
In the photographs look how the Emerald orb merges with the sun. This orb has been with me since the marshes of Croatia where I camped on 14th June - the same cross is clear in the close up among the other imagery, including a fairy Five days later I offered blessed olive ashes from the Alps, to the River Tiber in Rome, before visiting the Vatican - there a clear sapphire blue light shone through the windows which I wrote about in Gaia and the Vatican.. The pass I travelled into the Alps through is named for the Magdalene, while after leaving the marshes I arrived at the Croatian coast by a shrine in her honour.
As the messages of this rich tapestry keep unfolding, I follow rather than try to interpret them. Here are a few nuggets though:
The Olive was a tree gifted by Athena, the Greek Goddess of Wisdom and War.
Today is a Friday traditionally ruled by Venus the Roman Goddess of Love.
The Olive Tree has much association with new beginnings and new life in so very many ways, I’m sure most of you know some.
Emerald is the both the precious gemstone and colour of the heart chakra - the cross here represents the inner or divine union.
All these aspects can be seen playing out in the world today in many facets of relationship.
The beauty of this journey is that while I encounter the new everyday, the synchronicities and magic are plentiful. What will happen when I return home ? Will I still be able to see past the veil of the familiar ?
Part of any pilgrimage or vision quest is not just about what shows up, but about the returning. Considering how to implement the wisdom and medicine of the experiences and emerging stories after walking out of one life across a threshold into another - there is no turning back.
