A Cherry Weave …

Baby Cherry Trees!

Today I found over 30 self-seeded baby Cherry trees on the croft - imagine my excitement ! I couldn’t get an exact count though, as I would have trampled them.

They are the next generation of the Cherry, who seemed to have appeared out of no-where, that I co-created the Cherry Blossom Sacred Earth Essence with over Beltaine 2022, shortly before I drove to Europe. Cherry was a constant during this trip, and beyond, from supporting my grid work in Rome and Venice seeding new grids to an initiation by Wasp, who may have been inebriated on cherry juice at harvest time, in Switzerland!

Cherry is for New Beginnings, the celebration of having crossed a threshold.

And as Hawthorn called for my attention, I closed this cycle with requesting that my soul brother Hans Schut made me a small drum for travelling with a Cherry hoop. And the Rosewood beater for that drum holds an intersection of journeys with other plants, other lands, other stories …

Then being used travelling for the first time in Egypt weaving together the stories of Cherry and Rose to tell a new, yet ancient, story.

So in truth though these cycles that we may see are specific to one plant or tree, they are part of an ebb and flow, a spiralling weave.

Whether one may become prominent and accompany us for a while or tweak at our current weave reminding us of the complexity of these interactions - plants are powerful totems and allies calling us back into remembrance.
