Power Animals, Totems, Allies and Spirit Guides
Do you know your power animal?
I believe that everyone should know who their Power Animal is. Not only for the guidance they offer, but also because they often provide an essential piece of solving the puzzle/quandary, of who we are and what our medicine is. They represent qualities and aspects of us that we may not easily see or have yet to fully embrace.
I love being able to support folk with this connection….Your Power Animal is your Best Friend and represents an aspect of yourself that is supportive and a constant.
Animal spirits are some of the purest forms of beings
In Shamanic traditions everyone has a power animal from birth, often one who has been with them for many lifetimes. Animal spirits are some of the purest forms of beings and not so open to the confusion of expectation and other influence that other forms of guides may. For it is easy to observe a creature in nature, even through videos and photo’s and non-spiritual observation. This way it is easier to develop your own interpretation, relationship and understanding of their significance. It’s not always so easy to do this with other guides, as they are not always observable this way.
Sometimes a spirit animal may come to support you through a specific time in life or a project, or as a totem for crossing a threshold and developing a new part of yourself. I have specialist Medicine Animals for different aspects of the shamanic and energy work I do. I also have a teacher totem, the Otter, who came during my training, she supports me in guiding people through the liminal spaces that the transition into spiritual work requires.
My first experience of receiving a Totem Animal outside of ceremony or meditation, was walking along the road one day, when a Black Panther (in spirit) landed and fell into step with me … my teacher had sent him to support me navigate a specific situation at the time.
Gain essential confidence from your power animal
It is my belief that by developing a relationship with your Spirit Animals first, you can gain essential confidence in such spiritual relationships without others interpretation, before connecting with other forms of guides.

Connecting with your animal guide
In my sessions the first thing I do is connect someone with their Power Animal or a totem for a current situation. Very often more than one turn up because they have been waiting so long! Occasionally someone may lose this connection or get confused with having several guides from different spiritual traditions - so another aspect of this work is to consolidate your guidance system into a more comprehensive team or council.
The sacred gift of your power animal or totem
I love being able to support folk with this connection as this important supportive relationship brings a valuable essence or quality of being that can enhance your life. In a Shamanic Mentorship session I guide you through a process to connect with a Power Animal, Totem or Spirit Guide. Continuing on with them to explore your relationship further, their essence and qualities that they bring.
Have you ever wanted to know who your Power Animal is?
Maybe you haven’t connected with yours or feel that you have lost that support in some way ?
Perhaps you have a project or are going through a phase in your life and feel it’s time to invite in a new guide?
Maybe you would like a deeper connection with your current guides?
Or, you want too hang out with your existing team, ask some questions, receive some messages in a well held and supportive space.
Once connected, you can start to build a trusting relationship where they can guide you through all realms and support you in your self-healing practice. All you need to do is ask, and listen.
With much love
from my Heart to yours
